Arc Browser
The de-facto alternative to Google Chrome.
What I like about it
Built on Chromium, this browser really changes the game when it comes to user experience, with a super handy sidebar, integrated (and actually useful!) AI features, and much more. I think it’s one of the first real revolutions in browsers in a long time, and definitely worth trying if you haven’t already. Plus, after some recent events, the Browser Company — literally the name of Arc’s developer — has already shown that when it comes to security issues, they know how to act fast and get things right.
What I don't like about it
While it’s improved a lot over time and a new Android version has just been launched, the mobile experience still feels a bit subpar compared to the desktop version or other mobile browsers. That said, the progress made so far is pretty astounding. I did run into a few shortcuts not working consistently on the desktop version, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed. Overall, Arc Browser’s pros definitely outweigh its cons.
