Rize
Track and optimise your time without doing anything.
What I like about it
I discovered Rize in 2023 and became their ambassador in 2024 after recognising the power and uniquenesss of this software (by the way, you can get a 25% discount for 3 months by using my link). It's a great piece of tool that allows you to very precisely track the time you spend at the computer through a combination of AI and categorisation features. It even goes as far as to understand how you are spending (or wasting) it by analysing your browser windows. Then, it gives you very accurate usage information by helping you calculate how productive you actually were in your sessions. You can also use it to further categorise the data in projects, or set custom productivity goals.
What I don't like about it
Rize's complexity is a double-edged sword, and I have to admit it's one of the reasons why I abandoned it for a while. Honestly, the UI won't be intuitive if you are a new user, but you will slowly get used to it. They also only recently introduced a light theme, which for me was a must. Rize will require a proactive categorisation effort on your side, particularly at the beginning, so there's a significant investment of time involved to make sure the algorithm gets it right going forward (but it's well worth it). Given the level of detail of information it provides, it also means there is no smartphone version (collecting such detailed data would be impossible there, particularly on iOS devices).
